Order Paper NowMy wife being the art connoisseur that she is has set up our entire house with complementary color schemes that compliment the adjacent room(s). From the planned aligned cherry wooden floors to the different shades of brown filled painting on the walls with raised or flat textures. The floors and paintings contains multiple patterns facing in all directions that still some how seem to bring attention to the Dark Brown 3D sofa in the center of the room. The room itself is one Autumn themed ensemble. The painting that draws everyones attention upon entering the living room is unique. It is one picture that contains 5 separate pieces. Even thought the pictures are separated the beige wall in the background seems to link each individual piece. It is the vertical placement that I believe grabs everyones attention.
Paul Cezanne’s Still Life with Apples c.1890 located in Chapter 3, pg 45, figure 3.20 is the painting I chose to compare my painting to. Objects were placed low on the picture to seem closer while other objects where place higher on the plane to seem farther away. a young dark female overlooking a lake with trees in the horizon. A canoe appears in the corner of the picture. The artist uses overlapping, vertical placement colors and objects to give the picture the near/far appearance. The picture is soothing to they eyes and give an Autumn feel 365 days of the year in my house.
Any one person can find art in anything depending on his or hers mind set?
